About
A small workshop for developers
Last updated June 1, 2026
CodeDevForge is a free workspace of focused tools built for working developers. Every tool runs in your browser - we do not store your code, your configs, or your inputs. The goal is simple: open a tab, do the thing, get back to building.
What we build
We focus on the small, painful gaps in a developer's day. The tools fall into four buckets:
- Playgrounds - Java, SQL, Python sandboxes for one-off snippets and learning.
- Spring Boot tools - Config Studio (diff, convert, profile splitter, DevOps generator), Properties / YAML validator, REST controller and JPA entity scaffolders, security config builder, GitHub Actions builder, log formatter.
- Format tools - JSON formatter, ASCII text and banner generators, regex tester, diff viewers.
- Career tools - LaTeX resume builder with live preview and PDF export.
How we run it
The site is a Laravel 11 app, with most heavy lifting done client-side in vanilla JavaScript. We deliberately avoid trackers, fingerprinting libraries, and analytics that follow you across sites. We do use a small set of privacy-respecting telemetry events (tool name, success/failure) so we can prioritise what to fix and what to build next.
How we keep it free
The tools are free and we want to keep them that way. We pay for hosting through a small, non-intrusive set of ads served by Google AdSense, plus a future Pro plan for teams that want private histories, larger limits, and SSO. If you have feedback - keep it free, hate the ad in slot X, please add tool Y - reach out at our contact page.
Who builds it
CodeDevForge is built and maintained by a small group of engineers who got tired of bouncing between half-broken tools when working with Spring Boot configs, Java snippets, and resume builders. We hope it saves you the same time it saves us.
